There are many books that fit that mold of being a classic: interesting illustrations, witty dialog, creative construction, and unique story lines. Then there is Herve Tullet's Press Here. Deceptively simple. This is not the best book out there but it is one that contrasts so sharply with the tech revolution that this generation of children is growing up during that it has a certain sociological value rendering it a possible and probable classic. The simple concept is one that celebrates the physicality of the book and is engaging. The ability to hold and interact with the book as an object makes it fun for the child on a personal level. In previous years, it might have become overlooked while other books with story lines and illustrations gained more attention but it is becoming internationally popular. Partly because of its simplicity. Pure good fun that is difficult to brake.

I share many of the childhood favorites mentioned by others. There are so many that I've had a very difficult time trying to decide on one book. Theoretically, it should be an easy blog post since it is a personal opinion but there are just so many to remember.
