This is a book that infants love to handle as they practice those early seeking skills. Even babies at eight months can participate in the search for Spot. Another one of the really great things about this book, in addition to the points that have been made, is that it assists with helping teach proximity relationships (which can be somewhat abstract) effectively and in a fun way to infants. It really is a great vocabulary builder! Plus, it uses simple clear repetitive phrases and grammar and illustrates basic conversation. In ways, it's simplistically complex. Just like Spot hiding under the rug, Where's Spot has more going on under the surface...
