When Mouse lets his best friend, Rabbit, play with his brand new airplane, trouble is close behind. From Caldecott award winner Eric Rohmann, comes this book about friends, working together, loyalty and patience, and difficulties told in a humorous way. 

My friend Rabbit means well, begins the mouse narrator. But whatever he does, wherever he goes, trouble follows. Rabbit throws Mouses airplane and launches it into the branches of a nearby tree. Other friends join to help retrieve the plane from the tree. They devise a plan. Each stands on another animal to form a tower until they reach the plane. They do so. As they do so, the reader and listener look at the illustrations with the foresight that something is going to happen to this high stack of wobbling animals. Like blocks they fall but not before Mouse gets his plane back. 

All the illustrations are outlined in bold black lines. The words a few so and much is dependent on the illustrations. This will help early readers learn to look at a picture and develop words to tell a story.
